Description
This is one of my made up people. I drew her quite a few years ago.
She was to me, at that time, someone who didn't choose, or need make up to feel or look pretty.
She likes who she is and it shows, which makes her beautiful.
I feel her time period was maybe the late 1800's..
If I were to put a story with her it might go something like this.
"Isabelle was born in 1870, she grew up in Kentucky. She was known for her strong standards and unwillingness to say when she was wrong. So I guess you could say she was pretty stubborn. If you were under her wing, that stubborn streak saved or guided you out of many messes. Her love for those close to her could not be measured, and she could make you laugh so easily.
She raised 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, before her death in 1962.
She had married well, a fine Christian man who treated her as the most precious thing he could ever have near him, and her feelings for him were pretty much the same. Unlike most women of her time, she spoke up, and her husband Jim was right by her side all the way. She supported him in his endeavors and she in his.
She stood up for those weaker than herself and didn't like hypocrites not one bit, nor did she stay silent about it when one of them came around.
As the years went by she became known as the town Grandma; she was the one you went to when you needed advice. And she'd give it to you straight up, no dilly daggin around about hurtin your feelings, just here it is plain and simple. And that was what made her most loved, she told you the truth, good or bad as it may have been, you knew it was right.
